Live Music Project 10th Birthday Bash

Join LMP for THEIR 10th (!!) birthday BASH!

This year, hear from Nathan Langston, the director of The TELEPHONE project—a global art initiative that brings together artists from different fields and backgrounds. Nathan will share the story behind this creative chain reaction, highlighting the unique collaborations and connections that emerged from this one-of-a-kind project.

Plus, enjoy performances by violinist Sarah Pizzichemi and violist Justin Kurys of the Skyros Quartet, along with other stellar music-making humans. Stay tuned for more details on the full lineup!

Guess who’s coming back to Seattle for our 10th birthday bash? The one and only Shaya Lyon! Our founder & chief product officer may have moved to the Big Apple, but she’s making a special trip back to celebrate with us. For those who’ve been missing Shaya’s infectious energy and warm presence, this is your chance to catch up with her in person.

Drop by, settle in at a picnic table, and revel in the music and community that surround us.

Food and drink are available for purchase.

Admission is free, and all ages are welcome!

SCHEDULE

  • 3pm Doors open & first music set

  • 4pm Nathan Langston talk

  • 5pm Second music set

  • 6pm Say farewell until next time!

About Live Music Project

The Live Music Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing arts access and arts community in Seattle and around the world.

We believe that a lack of resources should not be a barrier to audience. We believe that access to the arts begins with access to information about the arts.

Our purpose is to connect people with the means to access and experience live classical music in a way that strengthens community, celebrates listener agency, and amplifies local arts resources.

Six cities, big and small, international and abroad, will be represented at Postale. One ticket gets a passport to all six cities, within the confines of our 600SF space, of course.

This event runs 5:00-8:00pm; come for any or all of it, by yourself or with a comrade who also enjoys wading through nostalgia.

KISSATEN POP-UP @ TIVOLI

AYAKO & FAMILY KISSATEN POP-UP AT TIVOLI IN FREMONT

Join Sako Gordon and yasuaki saito on Sunday, 11/19 as they get together to celebrate their Hāfu ハーフ (half Japanese) heritage with a Kissaten brunch. Traditionally a tearoom that serves coffee, today kissaten in Japan often serve breakfast and lunch in addition to coffee and tea. Sako & yasuaki's version will offer plays on favorite foods with significance from their homes and heritage, new and old, here & afar.

This kissaten pop-up is unconventional hospitality. It's Japanese, it's American, it will not conform to your expectations. It will be delicious and thoughtful. It will feature a special sandwich born in St. Louis, named for another city, created by Chinese cooks, served on house-baked Ayako & Family shokupan, plus a play on traditional-not-traditional sides, rounded out with a real treat: Ayako's cheesecake with damson plum jam.

Coffee or tea included. Additional beverages are available to purchase from fine bar offerings at Tivoli.

Enjoy some space and time in Fremont with a meaningful meal.
